About Pantnagar University (GBPUAT)
Pantnagar University (G B Pant University), considered as one of the best universities for in Uttarakhand, stands as top 37th University in India (2020). It was inaugurated on 17 November 1960 as “Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University”(UPAU) by Jawaharlal Nehru.
Later in 1972, it was changed to “Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT), now, in short, called as Pantnagar University.

Why G B Pant University?
G.B. Pant University, located in lush green and pollution free area, is one of the oldest and technological University in India. It has best infrastructure and good faculty available. The University consists of best Infrastructure, research laboratories, sports ground, hygienic hostels and many more.
Various extra-curricular activities such as Literary, cultural, social activities are conducted at both University as well as college-level. Various events such as debates, elocutions, arts and crafts, music, dance, folk songs and drama contests are also held by the University. Apart from these NCC(National Cadet Corps) and NSS(National Service Scheme) are also available.
For First-degree students, a teacher advisor is appointed for each group consisting 15-20 students. For post-Graduate students, an advisory committee, consisting of 3-4 teachers is appointed for each student.
