What Is NEET?
NEET - National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET 2023) is a single-level entrance test conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) for students who wants to pursue their career in medical field. NTA was established by MOE (Ministry of Education), GOI (Govt. of India). It was established as a testing organization in order to conduct transparent examinations with international standards in order to assess competency among students to get placed in premier higher educational institutes.
This exam provides students a wonderful chance to get placed in undergraduate medical courses in best colleges in India. It provides students to get admissions in those colleges which are governed under any of the law. Students who wants to pursue MBBS degree in AIIMS, New Delhi, or JIPMER can get placed through this examination.

Eligibility Criteria
Students who want to appear for NEET examination must have the following eligibilities in order to give the exam;
- The minimum age limit for giving the exam is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years.
- There is no limit to the number of attempts to give the exam every year.
- Students must have minimum qualifications in Class 10+2 (PCB and English) with minimum marks of 50%.
- Reserved category students must have 40% passing marks.
Indians, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and other foreign nationals are eligible for this exam.
Registration Instructions
- No correction facility will be given at any stage after the Registration.
- Be extremely careful in filling in the Application Form. You can edit/modify any information before submitting each Section. Check again before pressing the ‘SUBMIT’ button.
- Read instructions carefully about photographs, signature, Left and Right hands Fingers and Thumb impressions, and all certificates before uploading.
- Mobile numbers and ‘Email ID’ need to be verified through OTP. Please understand that this is a very important step.
- Please download the ‘Sandes’ App on your registered Mobile Phone.
- Choose Question Paper ‘Medium’ carefully as it cannot be changed at a later stage.
Exam Pattern And Marking Scheme
- There are three subjects in the examination namely, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
- Biology consists of two more subjects. Part-A is Zoology and Part-B is Botany. Each subject consists of two another sections. Section-A consisting of 35 questions and Section-B consisting of 15 questions.
- For both Physics and Chemistry too, there two sections as that of Zoology and Botany. Section-A consisting of 35 questions and Section-B consisting of 15 questions.
- In Section-B, internal choice is given, where students can attempt any 10 out of given 15 questions.
- As per marking scheme, every correct answer is awarded with +4M and for every incorrect answer -1M is deducted
- NEET is conducted offline and 3 hours 20 minutes is the maximum time period provided.
- NEET is conducted in 13 languages namely English, Hindi, Telugu, Urdu, Bengali, Kannad, Gujarati, Malayalam, Tamil, Marathi, Assamese, Oriya and Punjabi.
