What is CAT (Common Admission Test)?
CAT Exam is a national-level entrance exam for students to pursue their career in top management colleges in India importantly IIMs to be named. It is conducted once every year by any one of the top and old IIM of India. It is considered one of the toughest examinations, not just in India but globally too!!
Every year more than two lakh+ students appear for this exam and only a few are able to make through this.

Eligibility Criteria
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, few changes have been made in the eligibility criteria for the students who are appearing for this examination.
- 2020 and 2021 passed out students can appear for this examination without fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria.
- In general, the minimum eligibility criteria to appear for this examination are 50% and above aggregate marks in Graduation and 45% and above aggregate for SC/ST/ PwD candidates.
Registration Details
Candidates who want to appear for CAT examination can go through the following steps for application for the examination.
- Step-1: Login on to the official website of CAT examination or * just fill out the form on our website.
- Step-2: After verification a login USER ID and password will be sent to the candidates registered e-mail address and mobile number.
- Step-3: Login again with your user ID and password to assess the application form.
- Step-4: Now enter your name, email address, phone number, and country of origin.
- Step-5: Now fill the application form by filling your personal details such as name, fathers name, date of birth, gender, nationality, category, mobile number, email ID and address.
- Step-6: After this, select your course and IIMs of your preference.
- Step-7: You can choose six cities as your examination center.
- Step-8: The applicant have to pay through Debit card/credit card/Internet Banking or any other money wallet for the payment of application fee.
- Step-9: Download the application form for future references once after submitting the online application form.

Exam Pattern And Marking Scheme:
- In general, the duration of exam is 2 hours (120 minutes)
- There are three sections in the examination:
- Ability and Reading Comprehension
- Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Each section will be given 40 minutes to solve the questions given.
- 53 minutes will be given for each section for PWD candidates.
- There are total 66 questions for all three sections and total marks for this examination is 198 marks.
- For every correct answer, +3M will be allotted and for every wrong answer -3M will be deducted.
- There is no negative marking for Non-MCQ questions.
The mode of conducting exam will Computer-based Mode (CBT).
